Millions tune in to Blackfish

Last week millions of viewers Stateside tuned in to the TV premiere of Dogwoof's Blackfish, the documentary on Tilikum, a performing killer whale that killed several people while in captivity. There were over 1.36 million viewers for the films initial showing on CNN - seeing the film trend on Twitter, and a whole host of celebrity names come out to support Blackfish, from Zach Braff to Rooney Mara - our Storify below showcases some of the biggest responses.
For blog readers in the UK and Ireland, Blackfish is now available on DVD and iTunes (currently on sale to mark the Dogwoof iTunes room launch) and the film will be coming to Blu-ray on November 11th, with a host of new extras including a directors commentary.
