Cinema Eye award nominations announced

Last night the 2014 Cinema Eye Honor nominations were announced, and 6 Dogwoof films were announced as nominees, with 19 nominations between them. In fact the only categories not to have a Dogwoof film nominated were the made for television and short doc awards, which none of our films would be eligible for anyway! The most coveted award is the Outstanding Achievement in Nonfiction Feature Filmmaking prize, which our films Cutie and the Boxer, The Act of Killing and Leviathan are all up for this year, so fingers crossed come the ceremony in January!

Cutie and the Boxer was the Dogwoof film with the most nominations, up for 6 awards: for Outstanding Achievement in Feature Filmmaking, Cinematography, Debut film, Graphic Design/Animation, Original Music Score and the film is also nominated for the Audience Choice Prize.

The Act of Killing is up for 5 awards: nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Feature Filmmaking, Direction, Editing, Production and again up for the Audience Choice Prize.

Leviathan came away with 4 nominations, for Outstanding Achievement in Feature Filmmaking, Direction, Editing and Cinematography.

Blackfish is also up for Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Score, and the Audience Choice Prize.

Meanwhile Muscle Shoals is our fourth nominee for the Audience Choice Prize, and F*ck For Forest has been nominated for the Spotlight Award.
