3 Dogwoof films to screen at East End Film Festival

The East End Film Festival returns to London’s East End for its 12th edition from 25 June to 10 July and we are very excited to have 3 Dogwoof titles showing. You can catch a special preview screening of our upcoming releases Blackfish and Muscle Shoals. We are especially excited to bring back Dogwoof classic La Antena to the festival accompanied with by a contemporary dance by East End-based Neon Dance, and a specially commissioned score by gothic pop band Esben and the Witch.

La Antena

An entire city has lost its voice. Mr. TV, the owner of the citys only television channel, is carrying out a sinister, secret plan to subject all of the city s inhabitants to his will forever more. La Antena is a visually stunning, black and white, near silent sci-fi film and is screening at Old Spitalfields Market on 6th July - details here

Blackfish

A mesmerizing psychological thriller with a killer whale at its centre, Blackfish is the first film since Grizzly Man to show how nature can get revenge on man when pushed to its limits. Blackfish is getting a special EEFF preview on 29th June - info here

Muscle Shoals

Located alongside the Tennessee River, Muscle Shoals, Alabama is the unlikely breeding ground for some of America's most creative and defiant music.  Under the spiritual influence of the "Singing River" as Native Americans called it, the music of Muscle Shoals has helped create some of the most important and resonant songs of all time. Muscle Shoals will screen as part of the festivals Grits and Gravy day
